A few exciting summer camps will be coming to Walden this year!
We are thrilled to share our campus with Steve and Kate's Camp for eight weeks of camp. Steve and Kate's philosophy of putting kids in charge of their own learning experience is a strong match for Walden that builds on and extends the deliberate work that takes place in our classrooms throughout the year.
In August, Walden teachers will offer themed weeks of one-week camps!

FULL: Theatre Makers' Workshop
Want to create your own play?!
Join Ben and Ella this summer for a theater-making workshop where kids have a say in every aspect of production! Campers will get to know each other through improv games, be exposed to diverse forms of historical and contemporary theater, get hands-on experience with all forms of stagecraft from costume and set design to building props and puppets, and work collaboratively to write, produce, and star in a performance at the week’s end. Every day campers will be immersed in theater history, build literacy skills and self-confidence, exercise their creativity, and have fun!
Teachers: Ella Moran and Ben Boquist
Age Group: Students entering grades 2-7
Fee: $400/week or $100/day to drop in (full week strongly encouraged)
Snacks will be provided.

Alejandro's Music Camp for 4th Grade and Up
Campers will participate in a variety of hands-on activities including playing in a band/ensemble, music and technology: composing, editing and mixing with GarageBand, exploring music with a DJ controller, playing music with a digital instrument, percussion activities, drum circles, create an instrument, lip-sync shows, and fun games. Bring your instrument or choose from a variety of fun instruments.

Age Group: Students entering grade 4 and up

Move and Create: Art, Dance, and Yoga Camp
Blurb for website: Move and create is exactly what we will be doing for our wonderful week together. We’ll practice yoga together, make our own poses, dance our own dance moves, draw and paint what we create in our imaginations, play games, tell jokes, and laugh … It will be a week full of creativity and movement to set the tone for a wonderful creative, active, and well-balanced school year ahead. We can’t wait to see you!
