A Sample Schedule for a Walden@Home Summer Day
Please look for schedule information specific to your child(ren)'s classes from the teacher(s) offering the camp.
9:00 a.m.: Morning Meeting/Assembly
Connect with all Walden@Home Summer friends virtually for a quick group morning stretch, game, story or mindfulness moment, set your intentions for the day, and tell your favorite joke to your camp friends. This will be led by different members of Walden@Home Summer.
10:00 - 11:00 a.m.: Synchronous Instruction/Small Group Work
Brainstorm with your fellow campers as you design your dream home, learn about portraits, build a lava lamp, or head into the backyard to fill up the water balloons from your camper box.
11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.: Independent Play
Design, create, and play! Use this time to step away from the screen and finish your projects from the morning or start a new one.
12:00 - 12:30 p.m.: Social Lunch
Join us while you have lunch and connect with your fellow campers. Use this time to share, peer review, or make adjustments what we've worked on all morning, or enjoy lunch with your family. This is the perfect opportunity for students and parents to share what they have been working on that morning.
1:00 – 3:00 p.m.: Optional as Needed: 1:1, Groups, Project Meetings
Activity leaders are available to meet with students to answer questions, brainstorm, or pull together small groups to plan and design a sharing activity for families at the completion of the week.
