Grandparents and Grand Friends' Day 2023

Welcome to Walden School's Virtual Grandparents and Grand Friends' Day!

Please watch our welcome video before you join the Zoom rooms. Classroom Zoom rooms will open at 9:15 a.m., and the event will begin at 9:30 a.m.

 You can move around the platform either by using your mouse (click & hold while moving around) or your keyboard arrow keys.
To view the event platform in full screen, please click on the three dots in the upper right corner upon entering the event.

Instructions for how to access the event:

  1. Click on the "play" button to launch the event.
  2. At 9:00 a.m., please click on the Welcome image. 
    1. This will open up a new tab in your browser with our welcome video. 
  3. The individual classroom Zoom rooms will open at 9:15 a.m. to allow for some transition time before the event begins at 9:30 a.m.
    1. Please go back to the tab with our virtual event platform.
    2. Click into the platform to find the thumbnail for your grandchild’s/grand friend’s class.
    3. Click on the image.
      1. This will open up a new tab in your browser with the Zoom room for the virtual classroom. 
      2. When you enter the Zoom room, please type the name of your Walden student before your own name.
  4. If you have more than one grandchild/grand friend at Walden, you may switch between virtual classrooms by returning to the event platform at any time and go through the same steps to join the sibling’s classroom.

Grandparents and Grand Friends’ Day ends when the virtual classroom session ends; you do not need to return to the event platform. 

Please note that while the event site is active now, the links will not be active until Tuesday, November 21. We encourage you to take a look to familiarize yourself with the navigation for ease of use during the live event.
