Spring Sing 2025: A Global Celebration of Folk Music and Dance

What a wonderful evening of dance and song at the 2025 Spring Sing, “A Global Celebration of Folk Music and Dance!” All Walden classes from Pre-K to 6th grade took the stage at the Lanterman Auditorium in La Cañada, showcasing folk classics including traditional American songs such as “Peace Like a River” from our Pre-K students to “Take Me Home, Country Roads” from our 6th graders. Diverse music and dance favorites were performed from countries around the world such as Nigeria, Indonesia, and Argentina and more.

In true Walden tradition, each student participated in this annual performance, performing with live instruments, vocals, and dancing. The evening showcased the Walden mission by giving students a voice and platform to share their collaborative creativity, including many large group ensembles with multiple classes joining together to perform live music for their peers to dance to. We want to shout out our incredible students whose passion, focus, confidence, dedication, and rhythm were truly inspiring as most performers both danced and performed live instruments in the same show!

A special thank you to Alejandro and Trevor for so skillfully coordinating such beautiful performances, and to all our faculty and staff who helped make the event a success. Last but not least, thanks to our amazing families for their enthusiasm as audience members and for helping our students shine on stage!
